Rory Milligan

Chief Commercial Officer & General Counsel

Rory Milligan is the Chief Commercial Officer and General Counsel at Rangemore Capital, where he leads the firm’s commercial strategy, legal oversight and governance framework. He brings more than thirteen years of experience advising boards, shareholders and executive teams on complex transactions, strategic partnerships and cross-border risk.

Rory joined the firm after a career spanning top-tier international law firms and senior leadership roles within FTSE 100 listed companies. Most recently, he served as Head of Legal within the Air Sector of BAE Systems and for its tri-national joint venture, Edgewing. In these roles, he guided high-value government and commercial contracts, international joint-venture structures, export campaigns and enterprise-wide compliance programmes.

Earlier in his career, Rory held senior positions at GKN Aerospace—where he received the company’s inaugural “Trusted Advisor” award—and at Rolls-Royce, supporting its treasury, corporate finance and engine-leasing divisions on multibillion-dollar financing, asset-backed structures and global customer transactions. His foundation in private practice at Shearman & Sterling, Davis Polk & Wardwell and Mills & Reeve provided him with deep expertise across finance, capital markets, disputes and regulatory matters.

Across each role, Rory has built a reputation for clear commercial judgment, disciplined execution and an ability to unlock value in complex, fast-moving environments. As both CCO and General Counsel, he plays a central role in shaping the firm’s growth strategy, overseeing client execution, and ensuring the highest standards of governance and risk management.

Rory holds a Distinction in the Legal Practice Course from BPP Law School and an LLB (Hons) from the University of Leeds, where he received multiple academic awards.
